When I was a little girl, when asked – “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I couldn’t have told you. My mother always said “You can do anything you want”. While this was very supportive and encouraging, I never felt I had a clear direction or path.
It took a lifetime of personal losses, struggles and challenges of faith to bring me to where I am today and to be who I am meant to be. My safe space was found in my creative endeavours constantly, and to this day remains the outlet that refuels my soul.
If there is only one thing that I can take away from the lessons my life has given me, it’s that no matter how strong, resilient and brave we are:
We all need a little help sometimes,
A little guidance,
A little reassurance
And that’s ok.
I know now my soul path was meant to be one of creativity and service, to help others through their life struggles, holding their hand in the dark and giving them the tools they need to live a lighter life.
