There are currently more than 1 billion disabled people in the world. Disability comes in many different forms and is progressing all over the world. While some disabilities are temporary, others, on the other hand, affect the everyday actions of people in the long term. Getting to know more about disabled people means getting to know more about 1 billion world citizens who are longing for one thing: a more accessible world! Amaira, a 7-year-old budding artist, wants to drive this message of inclusion via her hand-drawn NFT art collection of 100 unique NFTs that embody inclusivity and empathy. She chose Octopus as her NFT because it symbolizes flexibility, fluidity, intelligence, and adaptability. The octopus animal indicates an ability to adapt to any situation, much like people with disabilities as they demonstrate a continuous fighting spirit that adapts to any difficult situation. Born out of a very personal experience of observing her father manage physical impairments, Amaira wants to spread awareness on behalf of people with disabilities via her art. Amaira will be working on her future art collection, as per the roadmap, and share with this community to further garner empathy and support for people with disabilities. We are extremely committed to the cause. 10% of the profit from the NFT sale will be shared with Neuromuscular disease foundation and Muscular dystrophy UK –charities that support people with disabilities across the globe.
