An acropolis is a settlement built upon an elevated space. These birds are the weary settlers, not quite ready to begin the day. We drove across the state late at night, then dozed in the car as we waited in anticipation of a beautiful beach sunrise. We were not disappointed! On this day, we were the early birds!
