Birefringence is a collection of 15 unique 1/1 edition NFTs, and is an exploration of nature’s own generative art captured through the lens of Australian photographer @tassiegrammer. Photography is the process of capturing light, with varying conditions of light producing and providing for truly artistic, unique results, and moments in time that can never be completely reproduced or replicated. To capture this unique NFT project, cross-polarised light has been introduced to crystalline ice structures to showcase the true randomness and uniqueness of nature’s artistic chemical processes. These crystalline ice structures have a life span of mere minutes, and the chances of any two being identical is almost incalculable - perfect for NFTs. Through meticulous high magnification macro photography and processing techniques, this 15 piece NFT series showcases the kaleidoscope of colours produced through the photographers own interpretation of generative art.
