I heard about nesting parakeets downtown and had to check it out. I went to a park first and talked to this random dude fishing, he said they nest behind the Audubon Zoo. I hopped in the truck and went across the city to the zoo. As soon as I pulled behind it, I saw the nest. I parked and spent about an hour trying to get the lighting and position of the bird right. I stopped in New Orleans for less than 2 hours on my way from Chattanooga to Houston. Nailed it. This was minted at Plaine, a coffee shop in Alpine, TX. My truck broke down here 9 days ago.
