In his short ten-year painting career, Van Gogh created an epoch-making new style of "Post-Impressionism", and together with Cézanne and Gauguin, he opened the door to the modern art world. He was lonely and ill-fated all his life, and only sold the oil on canvas "The Red Vineyard" during his lifetime.
