The scene with the two Grady sisters is one of the most horrible in the movie. The image of twin girls holding hands and eerily staring down a hallway has forever seared in our brains. However, while twins might be completely creepy, there's really nothing to indicate that they are evil, per se. It seems that the pair are just the ghosts of two sisters, axe-killed by their father. They terrify little Danny Torrance when they chant, 'Come and play with us, Danny, forever, and ever, and ever,' in their English accents before the film flashes to their dead and bloody bodies. In my artwork, the Grady sisters chant ‘Russian Army, come and play with us forever’, holding blue/yellow Ukrainian flags in their hands. I wanted to actualize the context of current events this way, thus bringing it closer to our reality, changing some details and writings in REDRUM font.
