This NFT collection features several one-of-a-kind pieces that were originally created from a flash painting of mine. I took this painting, vectorized it, and created several unique backgrounds to really make it stand out. I chose this design because it was one of my first 20 or so designs as a tattoo artist. When I was first starting out, my mentor required that I painted my designs before I tattooed them. In this case, I was running a bit behind. My client had arrived and I was still working on this painting. Doing my best to work fast, my mentor peeks over my shoulder and says "Are you really going to finish that?" I looked at him, slightly puzzled as he would normally expect me to, and replied "are you going to make me?" ... he essentially responded that if I knew what I was doing I could go ahead and move forward with the tattoo. This was a special moment for me because I was granted that much more freedom in my craft. The fact that this design resembles a butterfly also holds the symbolism of coming out of your cocoon and spreading your wings. That is exactly what I intend to do by extending my art into the NFT realm. I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I enjoyed creating it. Thank you!!
