The word ' occult' is derived from the Latin adjective 'Occultus' meaning 'hidden'. Occultism is the study of hidden laws of nature, specifically those laws which are at work in the invisible/mental/spiritual domain far more than those at work in the physical/visible world. Occultists therefore are those who study ALL the laws of nature, both that are readily seen and unseen.

There are really the only two reasons that humanity ever really experiences suffering. They believe that which is not true, and they refuse to accept that which is true.
Manipulation and deception go to work on us on a daily basis, as some of us know. They exist to basically pull us away from the truth. And to get us to not see the truth - get us to not see what is right there in front of our eyes, in plain sight, so to speak.
