This is the alpha two book cover for David Hearne's 'The Case of the Notorious Roboticist' novel, never published. 'Feminist Roboticist' was the original title before the book was published. The cover is a take on Isadora, the villain in the mystery, cyberpunk, noir futuristic thriller where robots and artificial intelligence take centre stage. This cover wasn't chosen in the end as the title changed and Moroz, the protagonist, was added to the cover. The screenplay version was the winner of the AFIN International Film Festival and Changing Face in 2020 and the novel has been very popular on the Indie scene (check out Goodreads.com). Hopefully this will be made into a feature film one day. The feature screenplay was also a finalist a the Byron Bay International Film Festival in 2019.
